Enrestec Installs Hosokawa Alpine Jet Mill and Launches Ultrafine Recovered Carbon Black JB-223

Enrestec has installed a Hosokawa Alpine fluidised bed opposed jet mill from Germany and launched JB-223, an ultrafine recovered carbon black (rCB) grade with an aggregate size distribution of D99 < 10 µm — 99% below 10 microns.

In the jet mill, high-velocity compressed-air jets meet at the centre of the chamber, where particles break by colliding with each other. With no grinding media in the chamber, metal and other contaminants are kept out, and a classifier wheel at the top selects particles by size, giving a narrower size distribution and more consistent quality from batch to batch.

With both mechanical mills and jet mills on site, together with pyrolysis technology from Enrestec and Upcycle and tight process control, Enrestec can supply pelletized PB-365, mechanically milled PB-610 powder and ultrafine jet-milled JB-223 to match each application. JB-223 is ISCC PLUS certified with a product carbon footprint and LCA. Customers are welcome to request the technical data sheet (TDS) and samples.
