UpcycleThermal Treatment of Organic Waste

A subsidiary of Enrestec and an approved waste reuse facility, Upcycle uses semi-continuous pyrolysis to accept waste tires (including giant OTR tires), waste rubber and waste plastics — turning hard-to-handle organic waste into carbon black, oil and chemical feedstock.

An Energy & Resource Hub for Pingnan Industrial Park

Upcycle does more than treat waste. After treatment in Enrestec's own semi-continuous pyrolysis reactor, the hot gas is routed to a heat recovery boiler that produces steam, which is sold to other factories in Pingnan Industrial Park — making waste a source of both materials and energy.

Upcycle energy and resource flow Industrial waste is fed into the semi-continuous pyrolysis reactor, yielding recovered materials; hot gas passes through the heat recovery boiler, which heats water into steam that is piped to other factories in the park. Industrial waste in

Waste tires, waste rubber, waste plastics and other industrial waste are accepted under our approved waste codes.

02
Semi-continuous pyrolysis reactor

Enrestec's own semi-continuous pyrolysis reactor breaks down organic waste into recovered materials such as carbon black and oil.

03
Heat recovery boiler

Hot gas from the pyrolysis process is routed to a heat recovery boiler, where its heat turns water into steam.

04
Steam for neighbors

The steam is sold to other factories in Pingnan Industrial Park, keeping energy circulating within the park.

Turning Waste Plastics and Rubber Back into Materials

02 / CIRCULAR MATERIALS

Founded in 2020, Upcycle uses pyrolysis to recover waste plastics, rubber and organic waste, producing reusable pyrolysis oil, steel and recovered carbon black — returning hard-to-treat waste to the supply chain.

Current focus

Expanded polystyrene (EPS)

Our own pyrolysis technology turns waste EPS foam into pyrolysis oil, creating a circular material system for waste polystyrene.

In operation

Waste rubber

Processes a wide range of waste rubber products, recovering pyrolysis oil and carbon materials.

Planned expansion

End-of-life tires

End-of-life tires are the world's largest stream of thermoset waste; drawing on Enrestec's experience, we are expanding into this feedstock.

Pyrolysis outputs
  • Pyrolysis oil
  • Recovered steel
  • Recovered carbon black
CERTIFIED · 2026

ISCC PLUS Certified since March 2026

ISCC PLUS is an internationally recognised certification for sustainable and circular materials. Upcycle has built a management system and documentation that meet ISCC PLUS requirements, with full traceability from feedstock intake through production to shipment, maintained through internal audits and training — so customers receive circular materials with verifiable origins.

Certificate No. ISCC-PLUS-Cert-PL214-99690326
