Subsidiary Upcycle Achieves ISCC PLUS Certification

Upcycle Inc., a subsidiary of Enrestec, achieved ISCC PLUS certification for sustainable and circular materials in March 2026 (certificate no. ISCC-PLUS-Cert-PL214-99690326).

Founded in 2020, Upcycle uses pyrolysis to recover waste plastics, rubber and organic waste. Its current focus is expanded polystyrene (EPS): waste EPS foam is converted into pyrolysis oil, creating a circular material system for waste polystyrene. Upcycle also processes waste rubber and end-of-life tires, producing pyrolysis oil, recovered steel and recovered carbon black.

To achieve certification, Upcycle established a management system and documentation that meet ISCC PLUS requirements, with full traceability from feedstock intake through production to shipment, stronger cross-department coordination, and ongoing internal audits and training. Customers can now source circular materials with verifiable origins from Upcycle.
