Enrestec Partners with Toyotsu Chemiplus to Bring Recovered Carbon Black to Japan

豊通ケミプラス

Enrestec Inc. (7507) has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for recovered carbon black (rCB) in Japan with Toyotsu Chemiplus Corporation, a Tokyo-based member of the Toyota Tsusho group. Toyotsu Chemiplus will be responsible for sales, marketing, technical support and customer service for Enrestec rCB in the Japanese market.

Produced from end-of-life tires with Enrestec’s proprietary continuous pyrolysis technology, rCB can be used in rubber, resins, inks and dyeing as an alternative to virgin carbon black, with significantly lower CO2 emissions. Pyrolysis gas generated in the process is recovered as an energy source, further improving overall production efficiency.

The two companies will also explore cooperation in global metal recycling and end-of-life vehicle (ELV) recovery, in line with leading tire makers’ targets to increase recycled content by 2030.
